Conclusion:

I seems like am constantly in the middle of a game. Thankfully I have multiple computer systems, so I can switch between them to manage multiple tasks with ease. Not everybody is so lucky, and the typical person will have to interrupt whatever it is they are doing when they need to check the status of an auction, email, message board, etc. The Pertelian X2040 is a perfect device for these people. They can configure it to check the status of just about whatever they want and keep an eye on the Pertelian's screen for updates. When an update occurs, they can then take a minute to react without wasting any additional time.


Do not be fooled into thinking the Pertelian is only for play; it has many functions for the workplace. It can monitor stock prices, RSS news feeds, network status, weather conditions, and alert you to new email. These are just a few functions it can perform for you while you are working on that ground breaking proposal. And if you happen to have a need that is not satisfied by the Pertelian, perhaps you can custom build a tool to perform the functions you need.

The Pertelian is nearly perfect. While I can not find anything specifically wrong with the device, I can say that it currently will not function in Windows Vista. I received several errors testing it within the Vista environment. Since Vista is new, I can not hold this against the device, ForeSight assures me that they will be taking a look at Vista compatibility and will resolve the issue. Other than that, some of the plug-ins did not live up to my expectations, but there is always the option to improve them myself.

CrazyPC carries the Pertelian X2040 for $48.99, which I find to be a very reasonable price, and makes this device a must-have.
