Ultra Products XVS Modular 600W ATX Power Supply
October 27, 2006

External Examination (continued):

On the bottom of the power supply you can see the 120mm fan situated behind a black fan grill. The second picture shows you the back of the unit. Ultra has opted for square cut holes, which will provide good airflow while still maintaining security and stability.

On the front of the power supply you will find five 4-pin Molex connections. These are used to connect the modular cables to the power supply. Another thing to notice is the area around the hard-wired power cables. Ultra Products has done a nice job of placing a plastic ring around the hole where the cables exit the enclosure, and this will keep the power cables from rubbing and perhaps becoming worn out.

In the next picture you can see the included modular cables.

As listed previously, the following cables are included: 1 PCI-E power cable, 1 SATA cable (with two SATA power connections), and three 4-pin Molex cables (each has two 4-pin Molex power connections and one of these cables also has a floppy power connector). In addition to these cables, there are two hard-wired power cables, a standard 20+4 motherboard cable, and a second 4-pin motherboard power connector.

Finally we have the accessories. Ultra has included a simple manual, four mounting screws, and a standard power cord.
