CyberHome 6-Speaker Surround Sound Headphone System
February 22, 2007

The Basics:

The package for the CyberHome 6-Speaker Surround Sound Headphone System includes the following (as taken from the Geeks.com website):

» CyberHome 6-Speaker surround sound headphones
» Digital surround audio decoder
» 3.7V Li-ion battery
» Power adapter (100 - 240V ~ 50/60 Hz 0.15A)
» Audio cable
» Headphone extension cable
» Cotton Bag for safe headphone storage
» User guide

Also included, but not mentioned on the website, is an optical cable to connect the decoder to an optical S/PDIF output.

Let's start off by taking a closer look at the decoder box. On the back of the decoder box (below left image) we find the audio inputs (a "coaxial in" and an "optical in" port), a DC power connection, and an on/off/battery switch. On the front of the decoder box (below right image) there is a port for 5.1 channel audio output, and jacks that would allow two sets of CyberHome Headphones to be used (only one set is included).

From the top (below left image) you can see the volume control, a power LED, and a coaxial/optical selector switch with an LED indicator. And from the bottom (below right image) with the battery door off and the lithium battery installed. Notice the little red ribbon coming from under the battery to make battery removal easy.
