In Win F430 Xtreme Series ATX Gaming Case
February 19, 2007

Installation:

A test system with the following specifications was assembled in the In Win F430 Xtreme Series ATX Gaming Case for this review...

» DFI nForce 2 400-AL motherboard
» AMD Atholon XP 2000+
» 512 megs Kingston HyperX PC2700
» 2 x 40GB Maxtor ATA 100 7200 rpm hard drives
» Tyan Radeon 9500 Pro video card
» Creative 16X DVD drive
» Onboard sound and LAN
» Pit Bull 450 watt acrylic power supply

Installation in the F430 went very well, with no complications. It is not the biggest mid-tower around, but even with its relatively small size it was easy to work in. All of the front panel cables and wires were clearly marked and of sufficient length to reach anywhere on the motherboard.

The removable hard drive cage makes mounting the hard drives a breeze. The down side to the cage is that it only holds two hard drives, and this may be an issue for some systems. The cage has rails built onto the bottom of it that slide into place on the chassis and is held in place by a single screw.

Installation of 5.25" and 3.5" drives is done via a tool-less drive rail system. The rails simply snap on to the drives and then slide into the drive bays of the F430.

Forgive the over spray on the DVD drive it was a rush as I could just not stomach the thought of how a Beige drive would look with the red and black F430.

Installation was a breeze, there are no sharp or rough edges to cut yourself on, and everything fit just as it should. The F430 feels very sturdy and I experienced no case flexing like you do with some cases, so everything lined up correctly with out having to fuss over it.
