The Basics:

Once you get the box unpacked you will find the LCD monitor, power cord, VGA cord, audio cord, small instruction guide, CD with owners manual, and the monitor base plate.

The monitor itself is simple, but attractive. It has a two tone color scheme with a silver front and a black back and stand.

The connections are all found on the back of the monitor; 120V power, 1/8" stereo jack, and a 15-pin VGA connection.

Set Up:

There really is not a lot to say about setting up the A190A2-T08 19" TFT LCD Widescreen Monitor. It is a simple matter of snapping the base plate into the supporting arm, connecting the VGA cable between the computer's video output and the LCD, plugging the power supply cord into a wall outlet and the LCD, and running the supplied audio cable from the audio output of the computer to the audio port on the back of the monitor. Once that was all done it was a simple matter of turning everything one. A small box appeared on the screen once the computer booted to the desktop with the message "Auto Adjusting", which let me know the LCD was automatically adjusting the desktop to fit the screen and it did this very well in just a matter of a second or two. The picture below shows the connections on the back of the LCD readied for use.

There are six, clearly marked buttons along the bottom edge of the monitor, which include; power, menu, two buttons to navigate up and down through the menu, an auto adjust button, and the oddly named "Turbo" button. The Turbo button lets you select from three different picture modes; Picture Mode, Text Mode, and Economy Mode. Picture Mode is the brightest and Economy Mode the darkest, with Text mode in between the two.
