In Win BT611 mATX Case with 300W Power Supply
June 04, 2007

In Win is a Taiwanese manufacturer of computer cases, power supplies, and digital storage devices that just recently started sponsoring reviews at Bigbruin.com, despite being in business since 1986.

So far we have looked at two cases with extremely unique styles (the F430 and the Alpha 360), which showed that In Win is anything but a cookie cutter producer of the same cases we see time and time again. The case provided for this review is a bit more traditional in appearance, but still quite interesting. The In Win BT611 mATX Case with 300W Power Supply is an ultra compact chassis with sleek HTPC styling that packs an impressive 300 Watts of power under the hood.

Before taking a look at the In Win BT611 mATX Case provided for review, let's take a look at some of the key features and specifications from the In Win USA website...

Features:

» Material: Best Performed SECC Japanese Steel metal.
» 0.8 mm Sheet Metal Construction - for better stability & durability.
» Small form factor design.
» Fascinate Design with Footstand can be set in vertical way.
» Standard 80mm case fan included
» All Drive Cages are Detachable - for better install and service.
» Folded Edge - for safety installation. No sharp edges, debris.
» Stamped Motherboard Support - no M/B standoffs installation required, for faster M/B installation.
» Meet CE, FCC Class B requirement.

Specifications:

» Case Size: slim desktop/ tower
» M/B Form Factor: mATX
» Drive Bays:
   » External: 5.25" x 1, 3.5" x 1
   » Internal: 3.5" x 1
» Power Supply: TFX 12V, 300W
» I/O Expansion Slots: 4*Low-profile PCI/AGP Expansion Slots
» Dimension(HxWxD) w/o Front Panel: 92 x 310 x 400 mm (3.6" x 12.2" x 15.7)

The features and specifications reveal that this is not be your typical mATX case. It only accepts low profile expansion cards due to its slim size and comes with a fairly unusual TFX form factor power supply. And I am pleased to see that no debris is included with the case.

Packaging:

The packaging for the BT611 is fairly generic, with minimal information provided. The typical buyer for this case is an OEM integrator, but there are a few places online to buy one retail. Inside the box, the case is wrapped in a clear plastic bag to prevent scratches, and everything is protected inside Styrofoam blocks.
