NZXT Rogue Small Form Factor Gaming Chassis
December 18, 2007

The Basics (continued):

The back of the case is shown in the images below. Here we see the bulk of the tool-less features on this case, including the latch for the top panel, the motherboard tray, and the power supply mounting bracket. It took years for me to use a case with a motherboard tray, and the Ultra Products m998 reviewed last week was the first. Having the second one a week later has me a bit spoiled.

The rear panel is also the location of the fifth 120mm fan mount. A red LED unit is provided in this location, and of the other four places where a fan could be installed, only two fans are included. One fan is provided on either side panel, and both of these are plain black units. Having all of them in red would provide a cool lighting effect, but you are on your own to create that! The image below shows what it might look like if you spent the extra money to complete the look with blue LED fans on the black/blue version of this case.

The image below shows the inside of the case near the rear panel. The three included fans use 4-pin power connectors, and the leads are long enough to reach anywhere inside the case and beyond.

The drive cages are shown in the images below, and while I initially thought I could remove them in order to install drives, they are not intended to come out (at least not easily). You have room for two exposed 5.25" drives, an exposed 3.5" drive, and four internal 3.5" drives. Not a bad combination for a mATX system, but honestly, the size of this thing really doesn't fit with the term small form factor.
