Logisys Computer Inc. has been around for a number of years offering a variety of computer products such as power supplies, computer cases, bay devices, and modding accessories. This review will be taking a look at one of their new products, the PC Extension Station, sent over by CrazyPC.


The PC Extension Station is designed to elevate your LCD or CRT monitor and provide a storage area for your keyboard, while also providing a handful of other useful features which we will detail as we move through the review. Before taking a look at the Logisys PC Extension Station provided for review, let's take a look at the features and specifications, as taken from the CrazyPC website...

» Neat Power Management with easy access to all your power switches!
» 4 x USB Ports
» 5 x 110 Volt Power Outlets (4 Output, 1 Input)
» 5 x on/off power switches
» LCD Monitor Stand
» 5.25 Inch Drawer can be used for storage or as a drive bay (e.g., External CD-ROM Drive)
» 3.5 Inch Bay for optional device (e.g., Floppy Drive)
» Space for keyboard underneath unit to save desktop space!

The Basics:

The PC Extension station comes packed in a rather simple retail box. Inside the box it is surrounded in Styrofoam and well protected. The box includes the PC Extension Station along with a power cord and a USB cord.

It did not take too close of an inspection to find some rather serious issues with the Logisys Desktop Extension Station. Right out of the box the front panel of the 5.25" drive drawer was falling off and needed repair. By the third time I had pulled the drawer out, the whole front panel fell off of the drawer.
