PC Power and Cooling 750 Quad Black Power Supply
September 05, 2007

PC Power and Cooling has been in the power supply business for over 20 years, and their name has become synonymous with some of the highest quality, most trusted units available. Their first power supplies were released in 1986, and the Silencer and Turbo-Cool lines available then have evolved with the demands of computer users, taking them from 150 to 750 Watts and 200 to 1000 Watts, respectively.

In 2007, PC Power and Cooling became part of the OCZ Technology Group, and if one things comes from that deal it will hopefully be greater exposure for their products. OCZ Technology does an excellent job marketing and distributing their own products and arranged this review of the PC Power and Cooling 750 Quad Black Power Supply.

Before taking a look at the 750 Quad Black Power Supply provided for review, let's take a look at the features and specifications as taken from the PC Power and Cooling website.

The Silencer 750 offers plenty of high end features, including high Amperage rails, quad PCI express power leads, high efficiency, high power factor rating, and a legitimately no-nonsense 3-year warranty. Speaking of voltage rails, note that PC Power and Cooling bucks the trend of multiple rails and provides just one 12V rail with a very impressive 60A rating. Check the Myths Exposed page on their website for more information on this, and why they do a handful of other things a bit differently than the norm!
