Sound ID SM100 EarModule Bluetooth Headset
November 02, 2007

Packaging:

The retail style packaging for the Sound ID SM100 EarModule is something that you would expect to see in the accessory section of your favorite electronics or mobile phone store. The front of the box provides an overview of the product, while the back includes different views of the product, as well as some of the features and specifications.

The Basics:

The Sound ID SM100 EarModule looks stylish with a metallic silver finish on the outer surface, and a black finish on the inner surface. The below left image reveals that there are four buttons to operate the unit. The power on/off button is the silver "ID" circle at the center of the unit. The two black buttons next to each other on the top are for adjusting the volume. The button located towards the rear is for switching between the different "PersonalSound" levels.

The above right image shows the rubbery ear piece which can be repositioned to accommodate use on either the left or right ear. One ear piece comes pre-installed, but it can be swapped out for two others included (one larger, one smaller).

On the side of the Sound ID SM100 shown in the below left image is a connection for charging. The below right image shows the last key feature of the unit, the status LED. The color displayed will vary depending on the status of the device. Green indicates the unit is on, red indicates the unit is on but the battery needs charging, and a blinking green light indicates that the unit is searching for a Bluetooth device to connect to.
