Company of Heroes - Opposing Fronts:
Company of Heroes - Opposing Fronts also includes a benchmark for testing the DirectX 10 capabilities of your system as it relates to game play. The first round of testing used a resolution of 1280x1024 and no anti-aliasing. Results in terms of minimum, maximum, and average frame rate values are provided, and higher is better for all three. What we see is that the cards all perform about the same at this setting, and the Toxic HD4870 might actually be considered the winner.
With the resolution increased to 1680x1050 and 8X anti-aliasing, the test was repeated on all three configurations. Other than the minimum frame rate dropping on each one, nothing really changed here. The average and maximum values are about the same as the first time, and overall this set of tests did not decide much. Just to be sure something wasn't fishy here, the video card drivers and the game were re-installed prior to another round of testing. The initial findings were confirmed as the results from this round matched the first round down to the tenth of a FPS.
