Cooler Master Real Power Pro 1000W Power Supply

When the Cooler Master Cosmos S Full Tower ATX case arrived for review a few surprises were in the box, including the Real Power Pro 1000W power supply. This high powered unit will be a good fit in a computer like my review test system since an Nvidia GeForce 8800GTS video card was recently added. While a 600W power supply from Zippy/EMACS has proven to be very reliable, a little more wattage is good thing to have in case of a quad core or SLI upgrade in the near future.


A quick look at the 1000W Real Power Pro PSU is shown in the promotional image above, and before taking a look at the specific unit provided for review, let's take a look at the published features and specifications taken from the Cooler Master website:

Taking a look at the specifications reveals that Cooler Master hasn't jumped on the bandwagon of going back to one +12V rail. Count them, there are six 12V rails in this unit!
