Kingwin EL-35EU-SBL Elite USB 2.0 and eSATA Drive Enclosure

Kingwin has been in business since the early 1990s and offers a wide range of computer accessories, including but not limited to power supplies, home theater PC cases, hard drive enclosures, and computer cooling products. This review will be taking a look at one of their newer hard drive enclosures, model number EL-35EU-SBL. In addition to analyzing the performance when connected via USB 2.0 and e-SATA, we will also be evaluating the "One Touch Easy Back Up" software included with the enclosure. The drive enclosure is offered in black, red, or blue, and as you can see from the image below, we will be evaluating the blue version.

Packaging:

The packaging consists of an outer box containing the drive enclosure, an accessory box, and two plastic packing pieces that keep everything in place. The outer box is constructed with a windowed front to show off the actual drive enclosure.
