Moneual MonCaso 972S Home Theater PC Case

Packaging:

The Moneaul MonCaso 972S arrived in the box shown below, which would double as its retail packaging, as well. For something of such high value, and with an LCD and aluminum panels that might be prone to damage, I was expecting it to be double boxed. Nothing was damaged in transit, but as they say "better safe than sorry".

The box itself is rather plain. The solid black panels are occasionally interrupted with an image or logo, and in a few corners you can find a list of the product's key features.

Inside the box, the case is wrapped in a thin foam bag and protected by soft foam forms on either end. All of the accessories are packed into a smaller box which is placed in such a manner that it can't move around and damage the case.

Accessories:

The white box shown in the below left image is where all of the case's accessories are stored. The below right image shows what you get, which includes a product guide (manual), software CD, a bag of assorted screws, a nice screwdriver with a rubberized handle and magnetic tip, two AA batteries for the remote control, a stylus to use with the touchscreen, an aluminum bezel to dress up your optical drive, and a remote control with a rather extensive selection of buttons.

The image below provides a close up of the remote control. There are more buttons here than on many universal remotes, and you should be able to take control of most PC functions with this little gadget. There are multimedia controls, special application buttons, controls to emulate a mouse, and other buttons that can be custom programmed with the included software.

Overall, the accessories are high end, comlimenting the case itself rather nicely. My only issue was with the product guide, for two reasons. The first is that it didn't always seem to provide the most complete information, and for some tasks I was left wondering if my understanding was correct. The second is that the graphics provided inside the manual are extremely faint and hard to see, and on some pages I initially didn't notice an image at all.
