Thecus N3200 3-Bay SOHO Network Storage System
September 09, 2008

Thecus may not be a brand you are familiar with, and you may not even be sure how to pronounce their name, but they offer a line of data storage products that has been garnering a good deal of acclaim. The company was founded in 2004, and in the few short years that they have been in business they have grown their product line and international presence greatly.

While they do offer other products, their primary focus is on network attached storage systems designed to meet the varied needs of enterprise, small business, SOHO, and home environments. The product provided for this review is one of their SOHO products, the Thecus N3200 3-Bay SOHO network storage system.

The promotional image above provides a quick look at the N3200. While it might pass for a small form factor computer system, it is actually a network attached storage (NAS) device designed to use three SATA hard drives in either a RAID 0, 1, 5, or JBOD configuration.
