Thermaltake has been a trusted name in the world of computer enthusiasts since 1999 when they first started manufacturing high quality computer components such as coolers and cases. They introduced the first Xaser computer case sometime around 2002, and this line has continued to evolve over time to meet the changing needs and desires of enthusiasts worldwide.

In October 2007 Thermaltake announced that they were working on the sixth edition of the Xaser series. The latest release builds on the success of past models, and includes items such as a removable motherboard tray, 10 expansion slots, a tool-free design, Aluminum construction, e-SATA connectors, and many other features.
