Argosy HV675 MediaPlay HDMI Media Player
March 31, 2009

Packaging and Accessories:

The box for the Argosy HV675 MediaPlay HDMI media player is shown below. While you did get a bunch of information on the product, and a couple pictures, the box might have you thinking this is something you can take outdoors with you. I am not sure how a woman in a scarf and winter hat ties in, but I don't think she will be using this device on the slopes!

The media player is stored in a cardboard frame inside the box, with a drivers disk and some documentation tucked in on top. The below right image shows that you get a quick start guide and user's manual, and while this may not be the most complete set of instructions I have read, they should get you up and running with minimal issues.

The below left image shows the power adaptor. Not too exciting, but obviously designed for use in a variety of countries, as the two prong US plug is modular. The below right image shows the A/V cables included. You get one cable that allows connection to a TV with composite audio and video, and another cable that allows connection to a TV with component video. You need to use the composite cable for audio while using the component video cable, and other than that you may already be noticing that you are on your own for an HDMI cable. HDMI is one of the key selling points of the device, but you'll have to buy a cable separately.

The final set of images we'll look at before checking out the HV675 is for the remote control. You have all the buttons you need to access and control your media, as well as for configuring the device to get things set up just right.
