Thats an idea on my list dadx2mj, but I would prefer it to be non-permanent!
And... I want to go fanless because this is now the loudest thing in my case!! At 6000 RPM this little bugger hums along, and sometimes it makes some extra vibration sounds that I apparently never heard with air cooling...
HighSpeedPC has a waterblock mount for this type of chipset, I think, but I prefer passive... _________________

If I got one to paste on, it would be the Zalman shown at the link above... but from my boys at Jab-Tech... I know and trust them, the description specifies that it comes with thermal paste and thermal adhesive, plus they have a lower price... _________________

I found a solution!! Should be pretty cool (pun intended)...
But first, I did some testing... Have a thermal probe on the base of the heatsink as close to the northbridge chip as possible... Temps range from 37-45C with the fan at full speed (7000RPM)... Which doesn't impress me!
After searching several forums and not finding anything really interesting, I went to manufacturers pages, and Soyo was willing to sell me their 865PE cooler, which is a BEAST of a passive cooler!! So, for $5, plus shipping, the cooler from this board is on the way from the Soyo Shop:
