Something in the ASUS P35 or X38 family. I have the P5KC, and chose it since it allows DDR2 and DDR3. Have had DDR3 running up over 1600MHz...

I have to say thumbs down on the ASUS P5KC. I cannot use the onboard RAID (who would use an external port for RAID????), and can't use my favorite program to image, ACRONIS to see any of the connected drives.

But like the DR said, DDR2/DDR3 combo is nice for benchmarking.

not me!

I could afford it, but I doubt I'd actually see a big jump from e6600 (3GHz 4M) to this offer. I will wait till 4GHz duos come out and upgrade then.

Probably the same time they make a good DDR3 MB I really want to use.

That time is now! Phenom 9500 - $198 shipped.

Or did you mean an Intel? If so, I guess your upgrade path isn't urgent... Wink
