I am a new customer to Windows Vista and find it to be visually stimulating, not ooh la la stimulating, but different stimulating. I have developed a problem though. When I run windows media player for more than one or two songs consecutively, I get static and the pace slows down on the music. Anyone else experience anything like this and do you know what causes it and how to fix it?

Just for curiosity... What is your hardware and what version of Vista are you running? Also, is it 32 or 64-bit.

I for one have not run into this problem. You could try a few things though like:
1) reinstall media player
2) try a different player and see if the same thing happens. I suggest this because if it does happen, then it isn't necessarily the media player's fault.

Try this:

1) Right click on the speaker in the taskbar choose Playback Devices
2) Click on Speakers
3) Choose Properties
4) Choose Enhancements
5) Check off Disable all enhancements
6) Click Apply
