Received a couple of emails from a friend about issues in playing his main games, The C & C series. As noted in his comments the only difference other than the new system, the BB refers to a NF7-S system I built for him, is the install of SP3. Wouldn’t think there would be a hardware issue, but open to suggestions there.

“Tried the other CD’s no luck in that department still comes up with a “Fatal Error” however it does allow me to register and stuff, but to load not working for a game play no luck. Is their a way we can undo SP3 and only load SP2? I seem to recall everything worked on BB in SP2.”

Try Right clicking on the exe that starts the game and go properties, click on the compatibility tab and try running it in like Windows 98/ME compatibility. Also, another thing may be process explorer, the sysinternals tool. Some games register that tool as an anti-cd or other cracking tool. I had to turn it off to play all my EA games released after Dec 06.
