Sounds like you have the basics for a decent overclock, but two things catch my eye... The stock cooler may limit things. You will get something out of it, but not as much as if you got a good aftermarket cooler. And how is that memory configured? 3.25GB is an odd number. Like a 1GB, a 2GB, and a 256MB module? Matched pairs might be best.

Othrewise, just start raising the frontside bus with everything else fixed and see how high you can go... but be reasonable and keep an eye on CPU temperatures and stability.

I'm guessing he has two 2gb modules, but either the system or the 32bit os is only recognizing 3.25gb. Seems about right with a 512mb video card. If you in fact have a 64bit os and still only see 3.25gb you need to enable memory remapping in the bios.
Follow the links Dr. Feelgood posted and that should get you off to a good start. I can't stress enough how important it is to get a better cpu cooler though. Until you do I wouldn't go beyond 2.8ghz - 3.0ghz. and step lightly when it comes to vcore voltages.
Do you know what stepping the q6600 is? B3 or G0? _________________
