I would like to invite all of you guys that live close by, or would like to make a trip to California, to have some fun at our LAN Party. Please read about the rest of the information below.
3.14LAN is primarily a non-profit charity LAN party. It is being done under the umbrella of Soldiers' Angels, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides aid to soldiers in all US armed forces who need it. We hope to get 200 people to come and play games for a good cause. Due to restrictions put in place by the venue, 3.14LAN will be split up into two 12 hour days. We're convinced this is going to be just as awesome because we are dedicated to putting on a good LAN party.
Since this LAN party is for raising money for Soldiers Angles, you will not only have fun playing games, doing activities, but also knowing that you are putting your valuable money into a good cause.
Since there are still 2 months and a few weeks left before the LAN Party, we are contacting many sponsors, so they could sponsor us will some great prizes. Things are not certain about the sponsors yet, but we are trying to get many prizes together, so many people could win something. Maybe even some sweet hardware!

hehe, having managed several LAN parties in the past, I can attest for how sponsers like to wait until the last minute We've recieved stuff from Bawls on the day of the event before, and posters from alienware about 2 weeks after the event.
Our LAN coming up this November isn't looking that great sponsor-wise, unfortunately. A lot of companies have to make cutbacks because of the economy and sponsoring small LAN parties like ours are one of the first things to go
Hope you have fun there, if it was closer to my side of town I'd show up _________________ Currently being eaten by a system called Oracle9i, gosh it's sticky in here.

hey edvallie,
You know it is kind of interesting, because we already have one sponsor. It might be CPU Magazine with some free magazines to give out to all members, but that's something too.
We have just contacted some major companies yesterday, so we are hopefully going to get some replies back soon. Seeing that our LAN party is going to be for 200 people, I don't think it will be that difficult to get some sponsors, but to be honest with you, I am not sure. Well too bad you cannot come, it would have been fun for you. We are already coming up with some sweet ideas for the members that are going to come. Please spread the word if you have anybody who would like to come to the LAN Party
