I got one of these from Buy.com because they were on sale and I had a $20 off coupon that was expiring. So, it was like $60 something shipped.
Stock it is 2.0GHz dual core with 800MHz FSB.
Booted once at stock, shut down and with the stock cooler still on I just left all the settings alone but set the FSB to 1066MHz. Booted right up at 2.66GHz. Temps are still great, voltage still low, and it flew through a bunch of tests and benches with ease. Wonder how high it can go with some real effort...

I've heard that these E2XXX series clock very well and get great performance for your $$$$. _________________ "Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe."........Albert Einstein

I tried to jump right to 333MHz FSB and it didn't boot... - go figure.
But, it has been running great at 266MHz... Just wastes DDR3 rated for high speeds. Can't get a divider high enough to take this DDR3 1600MHz stuff above 1066MHz. _________________
Very nice overclock but I am surprised you can't get closer to 3.0GHz since most of the E2xxx chips can do it.
Well maybe its just the E2140 and E2160 that can.
I don't know.

And check out the voltage: 1.14V! I think I can afford to give it more juice next time I try for more speed. I am used to running my e6850 at 1.35V... _________________

I'm going to be looking at the new Wolfdale low-end CPU's when they hit the streets................ The priceto performance ratio should be outstanding along with some awesome OC'ing to go along with it...........
