Knowing that BHrDx v2.0 is destined to run at stock speeds as a server I got the urge to do a last Hoo-Rah with oc’ing. Especially since is has a 2 x 512 set of memory that hadn’t been tested.

For the prior attempts here is a summery – note all memory was run @ 166 – T2:

2 x 512 Patriot PDC1G3200+ XBLK
Best Bootable & Stable = 231.1 FSB for 2.53GHz
Best ClockGen = 245.4 FSB for 2.699GHz (2.70?)

2 x 1024 G. Skill F1-3200PHU2-2GBZX
Best Bootable & Stable = 237 FSB for 2.607GHz
Best ClockGen = 243.2 FSB for 2.675GHz

Now let’s see what the 2 x 512 G. Skill F1-3200PHU2-1GBZX will do.

Using the given that 2 x 512 is faster than 2 x 1024 (see an exception above!) my starting point was:

Vcore: 1.50V
Memory Voltage: 2.80V
CPU Frequency: 240
Hammer Fid Control: 11X
HT Frequency: 3X
PCIE Clock: 100
Memclock: 166
1T/2T Memory Timing: 2T

DRAM > Tcl: 2.5, Tras: 6, Trcd: 3, Trp: 3, Trrd: 2, Trc: 12, Trfc: 24, Trwt: 3, Tref: 166 @ 15.6, Twtr: Auto, Twr: Auto.
This gave me 2.64GHz with a Prime run of over 10 hours. Gradually worked it up until:

Best Bootable & Stable = 245 FSB for 2.695GHz (ran Prime for 4 hours).

Now on to see what can be done using ClockGen. As it turns out the system borks and resets itself if you try to run ClockGen at or above FSB of 245, go figure as I can boot at 245 for a stable Prime run!! So………..

Best ClockGen = 244.4 FSB for 2.686GHz

I just got through updating BHrDx v2 from 2 x 512 to 2 x 1024 PC-3200. Picked a pair of G. Skill F1-3200PHU2-2GBNS from my usual place, and as normal couldn’t “just put them in and forget about them”.

I’m really turning into a G. Skill fan boy as these 2GB sticks performed almost as well as the 1GB set.

Best Bootable & Stable = 244.1 FSB for 2.684GHz (ran Prime for 5 hours).

and the

Best ClockGen = 243.2 FSB for 2.675GHz

Guess it is time to just let it be a server!
