Win an ioSafe Solo 500GB Rugged USB External Hard Drive:

ioSafe is offering up a 500GB Solo to the person that can come up with the most interesting new way to test the disaster protection provided. Between the various reviews conducted around the world, and tests that ioSafe has conducted in-house, the fire and water protection have been challenged rather extensively. But, this doesn't mean that there aren't tons of new ways for the device's disaster protection to be proven.

Come up with an interesting new way to test the ioSafe Solo and not only will you win one of your own, but ioSafe just might use your idea to demonstrate the capabilities of the device at the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show.  [link]

Prolimatech Megahalems Heatpipe CPU Cooler
Review Image We've seen a few coolers for the Core i7 platform come across the Bigbruin.com test bench recently and today we have one that has garnered quite a bit of attention elsewhere; the Prolimatech Megahalems. Prolimatech is a Taiwanese manufacturer of cooling products that got their start in 2008, and at this time they have just one cooler, the Megahalems. [link]

Seagate is launching the industry's first 2TB SATA 6 Gb/s, 64MB cache hard drive with its Barracuda XT product line. Seagate has tagged the Barracuda XT 2TB SATA 6G hard drive with the phrase: "Speed and capacity, uncompromised." How could anything possibly be compromised with a 6 Gb/s speed, and a huge amount of storage and cache? [link]

Chieftec BL-01B Bravo L-Type Case with VESA Monitor Mount
Review Image
The Chieftec BL-01B Bravo L-Type case with VESA monitor mount surprised me. I was expecting it to be just another gimmick to try to get attention. While the design of the case is not for everybody, I can see many places where this would be perfect; a college dorm, a small apartment, virtually any place that you are restricted by space. [link]
