BIOS Features:

For the most part the BIOS has all the normal bells and whistles to be expected. So as not to bore you with the mundane details, I'm going to stick to the special features and screens that may be of more interest.

The first screen we see below is the main BIOS screen, with the exception of the advanced chipset features menu. This menu is found only by pressing Ctrl+F1. Under the Advanced Chipset Features menu you will find the DRAM Configuration menu. Everything seems pretty normal in here; in case you're interested these are the timings I will be using to run all the benchmarks on.

From the Main Menu you may have also noticed a feature called Top Performance. This is supposed to set the system in "best performance configuration" but I didn't notice any boost in performance when enabled during testing, either stock or overclocked. Next we move into the MB Intelligent Tweaker section. In here we set the CPU frequency, multipliers, and voltages. I would like to point out that the VDIMM only goes to a 2.8V. Also, when I changed the Vcore from 1.4 to 1.5 or any other voltage for that matter there was no actual change registered by CPU-Z, Motherboard Monitor 5, or in Gigabytes Easy Tune 5.

Another BIOS feature that cannot be over looked is called Q-Flash. Gigabyte does a nice job of summing up what this utility does so here is a quote from their website:

"Q-Flash is a BIOS flash utility embedded in Flash ROM. With this utility, users only have to stay in the BIOS menu when they want to update BIOS. Q-Flash allows users to flash BIOS without any utility in DOS or Windows. Using Q-Flash indicating no more fooling around with any complicated instructions and operating system since it is in the BIOS menu."

So I gave it a try, works exactly as it says with no issues, BIOS is updated to the latest version and ready to go.
