HDD Installation:

Removing the drive tray from the enclosure is as easy as turning a key. The key is also the power control for the drive, although a little bit of a nuisance if you ask me. Turning the key does control the power properly, but in my opinion a simple switch or button would be much easier than keeping track of a key. The hard drive tray slides out easily and the tool-less access of the HDD is very nice if you have the need to swap drives often.

Inside the hard drive tray you see the connections for IDE and power, as well as some screws and the keys.

For the review I used a Maxtor DiamondMax 10 7200 RPM ATA133 300GB hard drive. After the HDD is connected to the power and data cables, it slides in with some careful positioning and is screwed to the bottom of the tray.

To complete the installation, the drive tray slides right back into the enclosure and the spring loaded arm is pulled back into place.
