Wireless Comfort Keyboard:

As you can see in the picture below, the Wireless Comfort Keyboard has an ergonomic design meaning it is slightly curved. I have been hooked on ergonomic keyboards for quite some time and personally think if you are not using one you are missing out on a good thing. The Wireless Comfort Keyboard has less of a curve to it than the Microsoft Natural Multimedia or the Microsoft Natural Elite keyboards that I have been using previously and it was a little awkward at first. But just as with the side buttons on the mouse I soon became accustomed to and very comfortable with it.

The Wireless Comfort Keyboard has a wrist support as many keyboards of this style do, but this one is actually padded and not just formed plastic. The padding is very firm and covered with a smooth vinyl that made for a very comfortable wrist support.

Besides being wireless, stylish, and very comfortable, the Wireless Comfort Keyboard has a lot of extra features going for it in the form of programmable buttons to control many different functions or commands. I will go over all the extra function buttons, but let me start out by showing you the software interface. These extra buttons do have a default setting once the driver software is loaded, but just as with the mouse buttons you can customize the function of each of the buttons as you can see in the screen shots below.

As an example, by default the "Messenger" key is set to launch MSN Messenger. I use Trillian for all my messenger services and it was very easy to reprogram the "Messenger" key to launch Trillian instead or MSN Messenger.

Now let's take a look at all the extra keys. On the left side of the keyboard we find a curved column of keys that consist of:

» My Documents
» Messenger
» Mail
» Calender
» Web Page\Home

This column of buttons is slightly curved around the Zoom Slider which will zoom in or out on pictures or web pages.

As mentioned before I reprogrammed the Messenger button to launch Trillian rather than MSN Messenger and I changed My Documents to open My Pictures and the Mail button now opens Mail Washer Pro instead of Outlook Express.
