I am always happy when a product performs as advertised, and the A-250 Wireless 2.1 Speaker System live up to all the claims
Saitek makes. They have an attractive appearance and produce better than average sound for a portable 2.1 speaker system.
Battery life is still some what of an unknown factor at this point. I estimate I have approximately 20-22 hours of use on a set of Kirkland brand AA batteries and to this point they show no signs of running out of juice. Whether they will die suddenly or fade away remains to be seen. All of the claims
Saitek has made have been lived up to, and I suspect they will meet or exceed the published duration of 24 hours.
A search of
PriceGrabber reveals a few e-retailers offering the Saitek A-250 for prices ranging from $102.85 to $129.99, this may sounds like a lot of a 2.1 speaker set up but I feel because of the wireless capabilities and the ability to control the music stream remotely along with the better than average performance the cost is reasonable. Although I would be hesitant to consider the A-250s as my main speaker set up they are a great secondary system for taking to the BBQ grill, the kitchen, or any place in the house where music is not readily available.
Based on the overall quality and performance, I would recommend the Saitek A-250 Wireless 2.1 Speaker System without hesitation, and award them 4.5 out of 5 stars.
