I just installed a new mod... Like point systems elsewhere, or the Karma system other use... Not sure how it will fly here, or what it will be used for, but its running, so check it out!!

You have points under yout Avatar, etc... as well as an option to donate to people...

Let me figure out how I can configure this for earning points, and what they might be good for...

OK - I just looked, by default its giving 2 points for starting a thread... 1 point for responding! I can turn donations on/off, and I can rename the tag from "Points" to anything else...

Any suggestions for any of these variables are welcome!! Maybe "Bruin Bling"? Laughing

The memberlist is now sortable by total points, too...

- but it could be a good mod to have... I'll eventual have to finish it by adding a "store" of some sorts...

Donating apparently works too... just gave JimBowy a point...

You could try something like we had at the "other" site. Or maybe offer some unused review products (after the review of course).

True... I don't want to make a vindictive (sp?) system like the other place where you could attack peoples accounts for money... but will look into something fun, as well as the possibility for real world prizes. Once I get around to installing the file attachment mod, I may make the points related to ability to attach pics, etc...

Okay I just noticed a fairly major flaw in the whole thing. When you edit your post, you get another point. That's not exactly good for those who'd figure that out...

And, I just noticed that installing this mod disabled the mini-profile mod (that made your screen name launch a pop-up with your profile). Grr....

I may ditch this mod for now... It has no immediate use, and it apparently needs some fine-tuning... Laughing

Oh well, once it has a purpose, I'll focus on making it work properly!!
