User Name Styles / Colors

I tried two hacks that allow different appearances for user names when viewed in posts only... one that let users pick their color only... it didn't work right. Then, the one I kept which requires an Admin to make the changes to color, font, background color, border color and thickness.

I have messed with a few people's profiles. Dadx picked up some more pink, heylinder got some purple in the background, and a few others... Laughing

I searched and searched to see how this worked... Still possible to select a cool new color for me name?

Yeah - sure. Ancient thread, but I'll edit some name colors. You can pick a text color, background color, and whether or not you want a border around it. Just can't have color combos that make you look like a mod or admin.

Specify general colors if you want... or hex colors if you know them.

FOX is a good example of font and background color + a border for those interested...

Sample the background color in my avatar and use that as a background with black lettering for my username. Black border would be cool....Thanks, Doc
