Some fan controllers use in as the fan in and out to your motherboard for RPM sensing. Do not do this for it will lock up your computer and could cause harm to the motherboard.

Looks like both reviews agree on better instructions being needed, and that neither were 100% confident in its operation... At least their's didn't trash anything!

I used the out meaning to fans, in being from motherboard. I would think that if hooked up completely backwards, it would fry things immediately. This thing ran for a while, 3 to 5 minutes, then decided to quit.

What is kinda sad is all the traffic coming to this review, at Google's direction, looking for a GOOD fan controller... But, there is always the #2 overall serach result at Google... Another fan controller I reviewed from Jab-Tech! Grin
